IMG launched a global OTT subscription service that offers live coverage of all the soccer games in the A Series in Brazil and Latin America.
The A Series is expected to be very attractive in the entire region this season after Juventus hired Cristiano Ronaldo as well as the appearance of new owners committed to investing more money in clubs, as the company assured.
The Latin American players in the A Series include Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martínez from Inter, Gonzalo Higuaín and Lucas Biglia from Milan, Paulo Dybala from Juventus, Federico Fazio and Diego Perotti from AS Roma, Giovanni Simeone from Fiorentina and Alejandro Gómez from Atalanta.
The Serie A Pass service, that costs US$8.99 a month, was launched on August 18 with the start of the new Italian soccer season and will include the live coverage of all the games, repetition of games and additional programming for 21 countries in the region.
IMG, that assured the global commercialization rights of the A Series last year, is a global company specialized in sports, communications media and talent, with operations in more than 30 countries.
Two weeks ago, IMG had closed an agreement with ESPN for the US market, in which the Disney-owned station will broadcast 340 games per season in its new streaming television service ESPN +.
