Jorge Colón, president, director and founder of Letca Films, shared, during the shooting of the series Las Trece Esposas de Wilson Fernández, in Mexico City, the details of the content they are producing for Blim with the production company, Animal de Luz.
“We have always been interested in content, and already have two feature films: Cansada de Besar Sapos and Sin Ella. Long formats appealed to us because they allow us to tell a bit longer stories and we can’t deny that´s where the entire industry is heading. That´s why we founded Letca Content. We we were on the look for many types of formats and this was one of the contents that we were drawn to the most,” he mentioned.
For Colón, everything is moving to different platforms. “Advertising, TV, everything is change. Time is no longer a restriction, so advertising can tell stories in different ways and clients can participate in telling a story they couldn´t tell in the past”.
The filmmaker highlighted that Televisa group and Blim are making big efforts to produce high-quality content. “This is the test, content with lots of risks. It is a type of TV that wasn’t being made. I feel it is driving a change and that is truly important”.
For 2017, Letca has a lot of surprises, including the debut of the series. “We are working on many other formats. This first effort for Blim -Animal de Luz- is already a huge step for us”.
