Veonet, the media technology company, announced today that it has appointed Jorge Elías to the position of VP of Operations. Elías will oversee all of Veonet operations reporting directly to Efrén Carranza, founder and president of Veonet.Jorges diverse background in management, business development and proven execution capabilities as a content creator give him a unique combination of skills necessary to lead operations at a time when the fundamental structure of the industry is changing. He is a critical asset to help us drive new business strategy and leverage fast changing technology in the digital content acquisition, production and advertising sector, said Carlos Barba, Veonet CEO. Prior to his new position, Elías served from 2007 till 2011 as director of Spanish Productions for the UFC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he led the companys approach and development of its brand into the Hispanic Market. Elías also serves, since 2011, as president Hispanic Market for King of the Cage, one of the top Mixed Martial Arts promotions. Elías is the founder and COO of The Hollywood Channel.
