Jorge Viera joins New York WXTV Univision 41’s primetime newscasts

Viera will co-anchor the 11pm newscast alongside Adriana Vargas

Univision Communications Inc. announced that Jorge Viera, Noticiero Univision (Univision News) correspondent, will join New York WXTV Univision 41’s primetime newscasts as a reporter effective Monday, September 2, 2013. Beginning Monday, September 16, 2013, he will co-anchor the 11pm newscast alongside Adriana Vargas. Veteran news anchor Rafael Pineda will continue to co-anchor the 6pm newscast and work on special assignments. Viera joins WXTV with more than 15 years of experience in journalism. His career in broadcast television began in 1997 as a correspondent for Telemundo in Los Angeles. “We are thrilled to have Jorge join our team.
