Luis Silberwasser, president of Telemundo, stated that the new 850 hours of programming of Telemundo´s 2017-18 season have four main categories: superseries, series, miniseries, and live and alternative programming. He mentioned they are duplicating the number of bioseries and miniseries.
Telemundo´s new primetime programming presents three superseries: the second season of La Reina Del Sur, El Señor De Los Cielos 5 and Señora Acero 4, and five new miniseries: El César (a BTF Media production with con Disney Media Distribution Latin America), Nicky Jam El Ganador (with Boomdog and Endemol Shine Latino), El Secreto de Selena (based on the book by María Celeste Arrarás with a Disney, BTF Media, Moconoco and LatinWE production), Luis Miguel (a Gato Grande production with Mark Burnett, President of Television and Digital at MGM), and Partido a Partido.
In series Al Otro Lado del Muro, De Pura Cepa, José José, El Príncipe De La Canción, Los Guerrero and the second season of Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso.
In alternative programming and in live, they have the new season of the show Don Francisco te invita, Gran Oportunidad with Raúl González for Sundays, produced by the team of Don Francisco, the third edition of Latin American Music Awards, the 20 years of Billboard Latin Music Awards and the sixth edition of Premios Tu Mundo. And, for the first time, the format Master Chef (MasterChef Latino) will be made for US Hispanic, an Endemol Shine Latino production.
