ViacomCBS Networks Americas has announced that as of March 1st of this year, Laura Pérez will have an expanded role as SVP of Content Distribution for Latin America, reporting directly to Eduardo Lebrija, EVP Chief Commercial Officer at ViacomCBS Networks Americas.
This is in addition to her current position as general manager for Mexico, Central America, and Colombia, where she will continue to report to “JC” Acosta, President of ViacomCBS International Studios and Networks Americas.
As SVP of Content Distribution for Latin America, Pérez will be responsible for overseeing ViacomCBS Networks Americas’ distribution strategy on a variety of distribution platforms and media, leading a team of experts based in Miami and its regional offices in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. In addition, Pérez will oversee the development of streaming distribution offers, such as Paramount+, as well as the traditional Pay TV and broadcast business for brands in the region.
“Laura’s ability to transform the business and drive positive growth in diverse markets has been key to maximizing the value of our multiplatform portfolio in the Americas,” said Eduardo Lebrija, EVP Chief Commercial Officer at ViacomCBS Networks Americas.
This current change within the leadership structure of ViacomCBS Networks Americas is due to the departure of Rita Herring after nine exceptional years as SVP of Content Distribution.
