Amor en navidad de Lifetime

Lifetime began filming Amor en Navidad, its first original production in Latin America under the successful Lifetime Christmas Movies franchise. The four one-hour stories include a selected international cast of actors playing leading roles from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, and Chile. Some of these stars are Gaby Spanic, Juan Soler, Patricia Manterola, Rafael Novoa, Mariana Favela, Christian De La Fuente, Danna Garcia, Ricardo Alamo, among others. It is a co-production with VIP 2000 TV and Yahayra Films.

It will be directed by Nicolás Di Blasi. Carmen Larios and Juana María Torres will be supervising all the processes on behalf of Lifetime. It will be filmed in spectacular locations in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, and its production will once again be led by women both in front of and behind cameras.

“We are very proud to bring to the screen this new original production starring Latino talent and that will showcase our own Christmas traditions to millions of viewers. The stories seek to convey a message of good feelings and love during the holidays. This production will be part of our successful Lifetime Christmas Movies franchise that has become a New Year’s eve tradition for audiences,” said Carmen Larios, SVP of Content at Lifetime.

For Roxana Rotundo, president and CEO of VIP 2000 TV, the concept of Christmas content made in Latin America is wonderful, but the region always sees productions from other countries. “Now it will be produced in Latin America, with international stars, and we are sure of its success on the Lifetime screen and in distribution. It is a project that makes us feel very happy because of its values and its spectacular stories”.

“For our company, it is of great importance to be part of this co-production, together with companies where talent and inclusion are valued. These productions make us proud since we will enjoy unseen scenarios in Jalisco, including one of our locations, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site,” said Sofía Garrido, founding partner of Yahayra Films.
