Luis Silberwasser will oversee Telemundo Studios´operations after the resignation of Joshua Mintz

Joshua Mintz steps down from the position of EVP of the Dramatic Area and general manager of Telemundo Studios. It was known that Mintz will join the ranks of Azteca in Mexico.Sources from Telemundo informed PRODU immediately, the executives under Mintz supervision will report directly to Luis Silberwasser, President of Telemundo. “Silberwasser and the studio managerial team will continue to oversee the daily operation of the studios, including all our productions in Miami and Mexico, and also those that are in the pre-production stage and in development”, they revealed. Later they said that “Telemundo just had the best year in its history and has never been stronger than now. The network continues growing in all the time slots thanks to the ideas, talent and dedication of its seasoned programmers and producers. Our success is built on the strength of a great team and the collaboration between studios and other divisions of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises”.Earlier, Mintz had said goodbye to his team through messages on social networks.Mintz was responsible for all the dramatic productions in Miami, Los Angeles, Mexico and Colombia, as well as for any new additional co-production for Telemundo Media, among other responsibilities. He assumed the position of EVP at Telemundo Entertainment in January 20122 and has been in the TV industry for more than 25 years.
