The producer Mapat began shooting her new telenovela Corazón que Miente (80×60’) for Televisa, starring Thelma Madrigal and Pablo Lyle. It will be launched February 8th at 7:15pm, in the spot where A Que No Me Dejas by Carlos Moreno is currently aired. After the mass for the beginning of the shooting of the telenovela, the producer reaffirmed that it will be a short story reflecting Televisa´s new production style: “This is a new style that the company is testing, it is something between a telenovela and a series. If we don’t dare to do different things, our stories will remain in the 50s. We must grow. I´m not afraid of opening doors and facing challenges”, mentioned Mapat. She highlighted that a short story requires a bigger economic investment; however, she trusts that the efforts both economic as well as regarding the story and cast will contribute to make a product that does well on TV.During the event, they announced the return of the actress and singer Dulce María to TV as the villain in the story. She stated that her character Renata “will seek love and happiness at any cost. It will be a fun role, but which implies a great challenge, since it will be my first role as a villain”. Corazón que Miente includes the participation of Diego Olivera, Helena Rojo, Alexis Ayala, Alejandro Tomassi, among other actors.
