Marco Girón, Miami Dade County’s Film Commissioner was at the launch of the Mediapro virtual production studio in the city of Miami, where he noted how studios like these bring significance to the city from a cultural, economic, and tourism point of view.
“I’ve held this position for a year and I come to contribute, just as these studios that are the future of production do. Having this center here we drive culture, economy, jobs, and tourism. All this is generated by the film and television industry and having here the most modern facilities in the entire south of the state attracts many to come to Miami Dade County to produce,” said Giron.
He revealed that the county commissioners and mayor are working together on an incentive program for audiovisual production, which will be launched by the end of the year.
“We will have the highest audiovisual incentives in the state of Florida so that the industry is more motivated to create content in our city. With these incentives and with these high-tech studios we will have all the musicians here, many television commercials and even Hollywood,” he mentioned.
