Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Studios Global, was honored Tuesday 13 with the first Key of the City of Coral Gables, given by the mayor, Raúl Valdes-Fauli in his new administration.
“In a city like Coral Gables, which, in many ways is the center of international business, where we have some 75 multinational companies, Marcos Santana’s work is very significant,” expressed Valdes-Fauli, recounting Santana’s vast business path.
“It is a symbolic and very emotional acknowledgment for me since I have been in the city for 20 years, I celebrated this anniversary in January, working from Monday to Monday, making relations, walking around the streets, where we have shared with people we have brought from all over the world. Between 1998 and 2013, Tepuy, and later Telemundo and NBCUniversal set up headquarters here. I receive this key with great affection, and it will undoubtedly be a huge stimulus to continue promoting from any angle, this city I consider my own,” commented Santana, moved.
Important Telemundo executives attended the event, including Luis Fernández, Executive VP at Noticias Telemundo, Esperanza Garay from Telemundo Internacional; José Díaz Balart from Noticiero Telemundo, as well as other personalities such as Beatrice Rangel, president and CEO of AMLA Consulting Group; Eduardo Marturet from the Symphonic Orchestra of Miami and Alberto Slezynger from Personal Music.
