May sweeps underscores Estrella TV’s dramatic growth among US Hispanic broadcast networks

Estrella TV finishes the May ratings period as the top-ranking Hispanic broadcast network in year-to-year household growth and tied as the #1 network in growth among Adults 18-49.In the household category, Estrella TV achieved an impressive May to May increase of 19%, handily beating TeleFutura’s year-to-year household increase of 12%. Univision increased its audience from May 2011 to May 2012 by only 1%, while contenders Galavisión and Telemundo each experienced significant household decreases. In the Adults 18-49 demographic, Estrella TV demonstrated its appeal to viewers scoring for the highest year over year prime time growth of 12%. Only TeleFutura (12%) and Univision (4%) were able to join Estrella TV in achieving May to May increases in the 18-49 demographic. Azteca, Galavisión and Telemundo were down in this premiere viewer group.“May 2012 is now in the record books, and the results further underscore Estrella TV’s powerful appeal to adults in prime time.
