After eight years of success with Suelta la Sopa on Telemundo, Carlos Mesber, co-creator of the show, will be focusing on his venture, Mesber Agency, a creative shop that offers facilitation services to producers and platforms for developing projects.
“We help companies to shape the ideal casting or to develop a project from an idea to how to sell it, that is, the whole process. We have a script doctor that reviews the ideas and offers guidance on how to do the presentations,” explained Mesber, who added that they also have their own original content offer.
Mesber recalls that he has already developed 15 programs.
“We are taking to Natpe six completely new programs, which are an evolution of the typical programs that we are used to in our world within entertainment”, he said.
Among the productions there is a reality format entitled Máquinas de Dinero. He also referred to Faranduteka, “the library of show business”. “Faranduteka is a ‘facilitator’, because it can become a filler, a TV or web program. It is a very versatile format that can be modified depending on the client’s needs,” he said, adding that it can be customized by territory, adding its own presenter.
Among Mesber Agency offerings is also ¿Cuál es tu problema? (1 hour) with Dr. Nancy Álvarez and a panel of experts. “It has to do with the evolution of talk shows. It has a panel that promotes spirituality and personal growth to the audience,” he mentioned. And the docu-reality Mágico Tulum (30′), hosted by Fernando Carrlllo with special guests in each episode.
The remaining offers are fiction productions: a series and a film.
Mesber’s team that will be at Natpe includes Guadalupe D’Agostino from Miami Open Media, who manages the international distribution of the catalog, and Thaelman Urgelles, film director and writer, who is the script doctor; plus a creative team.
“There is a great need for content. We have a variety of formats and diversity of content for the platforms. The offer is adapted to new demands,” D’Agostino said enthusiastically about their catalog.
Mesber added: “We are happy to develop formats that are taking a step further, the entertainment format, of evolution.”
