Despite the coronavirus health crisis, Luis Torres-Bohl, president and founder of Castalia and Mexicanal, admit that in these last weeks he has been busier than ever, and he attributes it to the fact that they have several ongoing initiatives, one of them together with the channel they distribute, BBC World News, whose signal is open and now arrives to twice as many homes in the region: 25 million.
Bohl, who continues working from his office in Atlanta, US, since he can work alone, was a guest on #VisitaPRODU, where he also spoke about his beginnings in the business and the 15th anniversary of Mexicanal they are celebrating this year.
He highlighted that in moments such as these, you have to be more creative and work harder. “We need to give our very best,” he insisted.
The new opportunities he is working on include Castalia`s OTT project, aimed at European citizens in Latin America, directed by Rubén Mendiola (former-DishLATINO, Comcast and Universo) and the launch on Mexicanal of the documentary series on the Fair of San Marcos, that is held annually in Aguascalientes, on Friday, April 17. The series will also come out on Netflix and on other platforms with which they have relations.
