Under the caption Juntos Somos Libres, Grupo Imagen will launch, on October 17 at 8pm, the third open TV network in Mexico, Imagen TV, reaching 150 of the most important cities in the country through Canal 3. On Monday 26, they presented the cast that will be part of each one of their broadcasts, where names like Francisco Zea, Yuriria Sierra and Ciro Gómez Leyva stand out.
This third network, with which Olegario Vázquez Aldir leaves behind Cadenatres, enters the competition of open TV, dominated by TV Azteca and Televisa.
It was announced that Ciro Gómez Leyva will be News director of the channel, while Javier Alarcón will lead the Sports Division. Yuriria Sierra, Francisco Zea will be in the news area; and Carlos Arenas, Luz María Zetina and Mauricio Barcelata are in charge of Entertainment.
In original productions, the channel will start broadcasts with the telenovela Vuelve Temprano, produced by Argos TV, with the actor Mario Cimarro, who mentioned in his Twitter account: “Mexicans, my people, we are free to open new paths, watch your new Canal 3 at 8pm. I invite you to watch my new channel together with me and enjoy an unforgettable story.”
In the different stories other personalities will be present, such as Irán Castillo, Sara Maldonado and Gabriela de la Garza.
This launch takes place a year and nine months after 123 frequencies were allocated nationwide and a year after leaving their broadcasts to Excélsior TV.
