“Along with continuing to produce high-quality series and films, our goal in Latin America is to create more local content, such as Luis Miguel: La Serie and films with relevance for the market such as Overboard, exploring alliances with key TV stations and production companies in the region. Additionally, we will also evaluate buying series that are already produced, for possible distribution,” expressed Tomas Davison, Senior VP International TV Distribution for Latin America and US Hispanic at MGM.
Regarding sales, he added that Luis Miguel: La Serie had great demand and that is why it was placed on all the platforms in Latin America. The series had its debut in the US and Puerto Rico in 2018 exclusively on Telemundo and Netflix in Latin America, and after this year, it will be aired on open TV and pay TV in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Honduras. “We will have novelties to share regarding the sales of the espionage series, Cóndor, starring Max Irons in upcoming days”.
