On the occasion of the ninth edition of the Festival de Cine Fantástico y de Terror Mórbido [Festival of Fantastic and Morbid Horror Films], held from November 2 to 6 in Mexico City, its producer and general director, Pablo Guisa, talked about the launching of the channel Mórbido TV through the platform TotalPlay in HD format, that will offer classical films, starting with more than 600 titles, that will be seen throughout Latin America, except Brazil.
“Mórbido is more than just a festival, now it is multiplatform and an example is the launching of our signal Mórbido TV. We already have a contract with a cable operator in Mexico, hoping distribution to expand rapidly. We will curate the best of horror and fantastic films worldwide,” commented the executive.
He added that the catalogue will be continuously renewed, with an added value: “During the nine years of the festival, some film and original content has been exhibited. The plan for the second semester of 2017 is to count with original production. Additionally, we want to turn it into an Internet TV channel.”
The brand will also have a new page of the brand, that gathers the news and content of the channel and other related products, making the most of the more than three million followers, including social networks.
It is worth mentioning that the channel’s production is made in partnership with AG Studios.
