MundoFox holds red carpet party for Hispanic stars to celebrate the debut of the network Monday

August 12, 2012

Fox and RCN, who own 50% of the new network MundoFox set to debut Monday August 13, held a red carpet event in Los Angeles to celebrate the launch. Colombian actors, like Marlon Moreno, Maria Adelaida Puerta and Cristina Umaña of El Capo 1 and 2, stars of the new series that MundoFox will premiere at the time of launch, walked through the red carpet and spoke with journalists including PRODU’s own, who had cameras at the event. Hernan Lopez, CEO of Fox International Channels, was one of the first to arrive. Following his arrival were Emiliano Saccone, president of MundoFox, Adriana Ibanez, executive VP of Programming, Jorge Mettey, senior VP of News, and the network’s anchors and talent. “I think the main strength of the network is the premiere of the second season of what is already a classic in the Hispanic market of the US, El Capo. El Capo has a lot of weight in that it’s known, and a lot of people want to know where the story’s going in the second season” Saccone said. “I’m very proud, and at the same time honored to be here, because it’s a grand responsibility [to be president] and I have a lot of respect for everybody who helped me get to where I am: the partners at RCN and for my colleagues at Fox”.
