The third season of Con Carmen (12×60′), hosted by Mexican Carmen Aub, premieres on September 14 on E! Entertainment Latin America in 22 countries in the region, and it’s Aub’s debut as executive producer and a new set design in Mexico.
In a virtual tour of the new set with the media, Aub and Marcello Coltro, SVP of Marketing, Creative and Affiliate Relations for NBCUniversal International Networks and Direct-to-Consumer for LatAm, who is also executive producer of the show along with Aub, highlighted that the new stage is about 400 square meters and groups four sets in one.
“Now as co-executive producer of the show, I’m involved more in pre-production and preparation; It is a big responsibility. Now we understand the processes better, when I get to the set I understand more the angle we want to take. We’re doing more research and I’m better prepared for questions,” Aub said, adding that deciding to become executive producer of this third season came ‘naturally.’
Con Carmen’s third season features a diverse group of celebrities, from different countries bringing current issues such as neurodivergence and the use of artificial intelligence, among others.
With regard to artificial intelligence, Aub indicated that it represents a balance, it brings something new able to replace human creativity. Coltro added: “Artificial intelligence does not replace human feeling, but it is an extra tool at our disposal to generate a script or structure something that we are going to do in production. You always have to look at it with caution, using it productively and effectively.”
