At an event attended by the entire Argentine audiovisual industry and hosted by Darío Barassi, Netflix presented its new offerings for the Argentine market, showcasing a strong commitment to local production with content featuring the best producers, directors, and actors from the country. This superior commitment will be hard to match.
The presentation began with a video featuring various famous actors working with Netflix, who spoke about the virtues of the country, the talent present, and the concept: ‘Made in Argentina.’
“Our commitment is with the Argentine industry, which is getting stronger, and we have a great variety and quality of productions,” commented Francisco Ramos, VP of Content at Netflix.
The platform is developing movies, series, documentaries, and non-fiction shows that will be released soon, ranging from comedies, dramas, thrillers, and sports to science fiction, set to be seen in the remaining part of this year and in 2025.

Additionally, the documentary series Ángel Di María: Breaking the Wall, an intimate and unprecedented story about the life and career of the iconic Argentine footballer, was mentioned. Produced by PEGSA, it will premiere on Netflix on September 12, 2024.

The highlight of the series presentation was the reveal of a short trailer for El Eternauta, a series based on the comic by Héctor Oesterheld, illustrated by Francisco Solano López. This major sci-fi production, unusual in both Argentina and Latin America, was highlighted by Ricardo Darín, its protagonist, and Bruno Stagnaro, its director, who praised the hard work in front of and behind the camera. Matías Mosteirín, executive producer of K&S Films, described the 150-day shoot as a very challenging but proud accomplishment.
In the non-scripted area, Love is Blind Argentina, produced by Fremantle and hosted by Barassi along with Wanda Nara, was highlighted as a social experiment aiming to prove that true love “is blind.”
