Francisco Ramos, International Originals VP for LatAm and Spain at Netflix, assured that in the room where the first Netflix Forum was held in Mexico City, was gathered “the future of Mexican entertainment”. The executive highlighted the array the platform will offer its subscribers in the following years, which goes beyond series to include films, documentaries, and other genres.
He stated that in the upcoming months they will define the structure of the office in Mexico City, but that it will be this same year. It will include departments for the following areas: Finance, Public Relations, Pres and Contents.
Ramos mentioned Netflix´s commitment with the industry and said that efforts such as the Forum seek to strengthen the relations with their partners and prepare them not only in the creative realm but in the technical one as well.
Regarding the announcement of the 50 projects that are in different production phases in the country, he said there is no ambition to do more, but that they have the certainty that they will be amazing. “Club de Cuervos was Netflix´s first love episode in Mexico (the platform arrived at LatAm in 2011), a lot more is coming.”
