The NFL released a unique production that promises to bring American football even closer to the hearts of Brazilians. The video, titled “Cada Vez Mais Nosso” (More and More Ours), highlights how the sport, traditionally associated with the United States, is becoming a growing passion in Brazil.
The 100% Brazilian production was filmed in various iconic locations across the country, from enchanting beaches to emblematic favelas, with co-production by Rafael Moraes and Effect Sport, the NFL’s agency of record in Brazil. The video captures the essence of the country, showing how American football is becoming increasingly rooted in Brazilian culture. It features scenes from real flag and tackle teams, such as the Recife Mariners, Manaus Valkyries, Rio Football Academy, Vasco da Gama, and Salvador Cavalaria.
The project is a creation that blends American expertise with Brazilian creativity. Directed by Gabriel Novis and with executive production by Gerardo Chapa, the video is an invitation for all Brazilians to join this growing community passionate about American football.
“This brand spot marks a new chapter for the NFL in Brazil, with the first game in the country. The idea is to celebrate this occasion by highlighting the growth of American football across the country. From Manaus to São Paulo, Brazilians of all ages, races, and genders are falling in love with the sport. The video is a tribute to these Brazilians who are driving the sport forward,” explains NFL executive producer Gerardo Chapa.
One of the highlights is the participation of Cairo Santos, the only Brazilian player in the NFL, who has become a symbol of the sport in Brazil. Additionally, the video features the iconic voices of Casimiro Miguel, Luis Felipe Freitas, and Paulo Antunes, who chant the famous phrase “temos um jogo” (we have a game), bringing even more authenticity and familiarity to the Brazilian audience.
“During filming, it was crucial to establish a perfect connection between the world of American football, the NFL, which originates in the United States, and Brazil. My experience living in Los Angeles taught me to see Brazil from a new perspective, where I can perceive the subtlety of details, the smiles on our people’s faces, and the contagious energy of Brazilians, which has a profound impact on national identity and what Brazil represents,” says Gabriel Novis.
