Club 57 has already been in production for a month, out of which two weeks were made in Italy. Its official presentation will be during Natpe 2019.
“For the first time, we are doing a simultaneous launch in Brazil and in Latin America. Before, we couldn´t do it, but now we are making the effort in dubbing to launch it simultaneously,” expressed Tatiana Rodríguez, Senior VP at Kids & Family for Nickelodeon Latin America.
The series will also be dubbed into Italian and many of the songs will be made originally, both in Spanish and in Italian. “We have a super pan-regional cast. One of the protagonists is from Chile and others are from Uruguay, Venezuela, Italia, among others,” she commented.
As part of the production, the cast had to do a two-week boot camp to learn the manners, the makeup and hairdos of the 50s.
“It is complicated to shoot because there is present and past. First, we are doing all the scenes from the past, and then we will change the set and shoot all the scenes in the present. The work team made by Arte, under the responsibility of Erasmo Colón, has been marvelous. They have researched everything in detail,” expressed Rodríguez.
The area of the set of Club 57 has 26,000 meters and to fill the space “you need an army of extras,” she added. There is an average of 80 extras per day, with a main cast of 33 actors.
