Olympusat introduces in Andina Link its new anime channel Toku Español

In the framework of Andina Link in Colombia, Aurora Bacquerie, VP of Channel Relations at Olympusat, will be presenting to their clients in the region the new anime channel and premium Asian content {Toku Español;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?noti=10662}. “The channel is dedicated to sophisticated anime for an audience aged 14 and above. It is currently distributed in the US in English (it was launched last year in the third quarter) and now we are are launching the version in Spanish for the region”, explained Bacquerie to PRODU.She explained that most of the programming consists of exclusive titles to be launched, brought from Japan, China and Thailand. Blockbuster anime series and films (Yosuga no Sora, Jubei Chan, Ladies Versus Butlers!), as well as live action like Machine Killer. There are also classic cult films from the 1970s-1990s with Kung Fu and Shaolin content. She mentioned that in Latin America there is great appetite for quality Asian anime.Programming will be dubbed to neutral Spanish. This job is done in- house with the Olympusat team that has experience in the dubbing of series and films for other channels in the group. Bacquerie states that the channel will be ready to start on air in approximately six months and Andina Link will be the first market in which it will be made known.
