During these critical months, open TV channels, along with strengthening information, did not cease to launch entertainment contents.
WAPA TV, for example, launched new seasons of their original programs, as well as series such as the Turkish My Little Girl (MADD), that is marking shares of between 55% and 60% at 9pm. Telefe, for its part, launched Jesús (Record TV), a biblical novela that is leading in primetime, and Los Internacionales, original fiction by VIS and Mediapro.
The reruns have also been a recurring strategy. Mega from Chile, for example, has a grid sustained by four teleseries of their property (from five years ago), that are marking ratings above the ones achieved by their teleseries launched two months ago.
Telefe accompanied the celebration of their 30th anniversary with the special cycle 30 Años Juntos, which is airing the first episodes of the series and iconic novelas of the channel, that the audience votes for digitally every day.
The Argentinian channel also produced Juntos Podemos Lograrlo, a program that combines information and entertainment, is aired in the mornings, and has generated specials on weekends. The episode of the program that included an interview with President Alberto Fernández was the highest peak of the year on Argentinian TV.
Mega has innovated with two original productions: Dale Play (an adaptation of The Big Music Quiz at Endemol Shine International), under the sanitary protocol, and Historias de Cuarentena, a fiction shot via Zoom that has achieved good performance on the screen.
