Paramount presented what will be its audiovisual offer for 2023 and part of 2024 at LA Screenings on Saturday the 20th. Under the slogan ‘We are Popular’ Dan Cohen, Chief Content Licensing Officer, Paramount Global Distribution highlighted productions from Spain, Turkey and Germany among its novelties.
The first episodes and previews of new series displayed during the screening was Mentiras Pasajeras, produced by the American company together with the Spanish company El deseo, owned by the brothers Agustín and Pedro Almodóvar. In theater in Spanish, the project was created by the screenwriters Blanca Andrés Gómez (Los protegidos) and Nerea Castro (El internado), and directed by Félix Sabroso and Marta Font Pascual.
The cast is led by Hugo Silva and Elena Anaya, who are complemented by Pilar Castro, Quim Gutiérrez, Susi Sánchez, María Botto, María León, Pedro Casablanc and Julián López. The production that had good comments among the attendees, is a black comedy with the situation of an executive of a technology company that operates in the market of aesthetic treatments, who is fired accusing her of industrial espionage. Faced with the possibility of being ruined, she prefers to hide everything from her family and friends, and keep up her appearances, while she searches for the culprit of her misfortune.

With the clear intention of being as global as possible and to prove that good productions can come from all over the world, Paramount also presented the Turkish series The Turkish Detective, set in present-day Istanbul and based on the novels by Barbara Nadel. It is produced by Miramax and the main Turkish production company Ay Yapim, in association with Paramount.
Among the studio’s novelties for linear television are the comedy Poppas house, the police crime NCIS Sydney and the detective comedy Elsbeth, spin-off of The Good Wife. Originals for Paramount+ brings The gray house with Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner and new chapters of Yellowstone, TulsaKing and Mayor of the kingstown.
