Pluto TV, that has already been operating for three weeks in the region is launching six new channels: Pluto TV Fútbol para Fans, Pluto TV Hogar, and Pluto TV Teen; and those in the Maratones, Degrassi, Minuto para Ganar and MasterChef category.
The first virtual press conference offered by the platform included the participation of Arelys Carballo, Senior Director Content and Programming at Pluto TV and Eduardo Arias, Senior Director, Agreements, and Contents. They announced that for the end of the year, Pluto TV should be launched in Brazil and that soon, a channel dedicated to motor racing.
Carballo mentioned that in these first weeks of operation, film contents have been very successful, the same as anime. He also said that they already have a daily measuring system that indicates what works and what doesn´t, that they already have 12 thousand hours of contents and 70 supplier partners. He revealed that they are going to launch international content from Spain, England, and the US that has been successful. “We are working with other brands aside from ViacomCBS to set up specific channels per country,” he detailed and added that they are analyzing the possibility of launching live events.
They also announced an agreement with Unilever to highlight the brand Dove, in the aim to invite all the women in Argentina to discover their beauty potential, using content on Cuidado superior.
