Producer Roberto Hernández from Televisa: Amor de barrio will be the first telenovela with second screen and a strong presence in social networks

After six years, producer Roberto Hernández returns to melodramas with Amor de Barrio (105×60’), adaptation of the stories Muchacha de Barrio and Paloma, but with the particular feature: it will become the first telenovela that will have second screen technology, with a miniseries made up of 24 5-minute episodes.The producer presented in the facilities of Televisa San Ángel in Mexico City, the stars of his story, Renata Notni and Mane de la Parra, who started shooting Monday March 30th on the streets of this city. The telenovela will be aired at 4:20pm substituting Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse next June. “We will have a lot of material for digital, with a strong bet on social networks, that opens up a wide outlook. This story will also use second screen technology, which turns it into a great bet for the company and for me as a producer”.Meanwhile, Leonardo Marker, in charge of Public Relations and Multimedia for this story said that the second screen will have a 24, 5-minute episode web miniseries, that will be broadcast once a week as something alternate to what will be seen on the TV screen.For the writer Guillermo Quesada, the fusion of two great classics such as Muchacha de Barrio y Paloma will result in a positive love story about struggle and values that “will be very attractive for TV viewers”.
