At a time when everything is virtual, comes PRODUlocaciones.com, a web-mobile platform that will allow producers to look for, do scouting, and rent the ideal spaces for the shooting of productions in Mexico.
The initiative is the result of the partnership of Terry Fernández, with over 32 years of experience hiring and shooting locations for companies such as Warner Bros., Argos, Netflix and ViacomCBS, and PRODU, the main editorial group for the international television industry in Spanish in Latin America.
Produlocaciones.com puts the representative or owner of one or several locations in contact with producers who are looking for places to do their filming.
It offers a catalog of places for those interested to see the details of the locations and save them as favorites.
It also makes available a mechanism to schedule a scouting session, and finally, make a reservation and pay online.
An advantage is that the owners of locations can place their properties on the page without intermediaries.
Additionally, it will allow greater transparency in this activity, since the price of the offer is public and equal for everyone, which does not always happen nowadays.
The project starts with nearly 90 locations already available in Mexico.
Future updates will incorporate features, such as the possibility for hosts and users to evaluate each other, the owners of locations will have more control over transactions, and there will be virtual visits to the locations with virtual reality technology.
