Julián Giraldo, VP of International Channels of RCN Television
After the April 1st re-launch of the international channel TV Colombia as Nuestra Tele, which brought new original content and productions by Canal RCN, the results have been encouraging. We couldnt be more satisfied. According to audience measurements, Monday through Friday weve grown an average of 32% in all time slots. The growth is more pronounced in primetime with 63%, told PRODU Julián Giraldo, VP of International Channels of RCN Televisión.Were thrilled our audiences have reacted so well to the changes. We were aware that the first few months could be difficult because sometimes breaking regular schedules generates an ambiguous response. Fortunately, in our case, viewers reacted immediately and positively to the new programming lineup, added Giraldo. Some of the new shows include Viva La Tarde, magazine hosted by Carlos Calero and Janeth Waldman; Tenemos Que Hablar, a show produced in the U.S. and hosted by Alfonso Díaz, covering international entertainment news; Charla Técnica, which brings the latest news in international sports, especially if it includes Latinos; and América Se Entera, a morning recap of the most important news in the Hispanic world.
Nuestra Tele, former TV Colombia, aims to reach a larger audience in the U.S.
