The novelas of RCTV International´s catalog, that SOMOS Distribution recently started representing, are for each country in Latin America “like a rerun of something that was very important and successful, they are affordable and have great recall among consumers,” expressed Francisco Villanueva, VP, and COO of SOMOS Distribution.
He highlights that they are classic and very prestigious novelas. “They arouse people’s interest because there are many hours, they are in HD and remastered,” he added.
Villanueva comments that they have continued to be active thanks to the support of tools such as Skype, Zoom, Facetime. “Now, meetings are conducted digitally. I think this brings us all closer and allows for a more fluent relation among all of us”.
He expressed feeling happy since markets are starting to be activated once again. “Channels tell you that advertisers are returning and this is very important,” he added.
“We are all trying to help each other: clients, so they can pay, and each channel is adapting. Platforms are tapping into the advantage that people discovered them and we are trying to be more efficient with this content. There is much more interest, many more platforms looking for content”.
