La Tierra Prometida was Record TV’s most sold production in 2017. In MipTV they will also promote Apocalipsis, while Jesús is in the initial production phase.
“La Tierra Prometida has been a great hit worldwide, mainly in the US (on UniMás), where it has shared constant leadership in its slot, reaching almost 2 million viewers per day,” commented Delmar Andrade, International Sales director at Record TV.
Apocalipsis, for its part, has been well-accepted by buyers. Written by Vívian de Oliveira, it made its debut in Brazil on Record TV last November 21, and in its first 15 broadcasts, conquered 14 million Brazilians. Its special broadcast on February 6, titled El Rapto, recorded the best audience numbers in Río de Janeiro, a region that has the best numbers in the country. There, Apocalipsis marked an average of 11 in rating, with peaks that reached 12 and a 16% participation, consolidating the second place with an advantage of four points above its nearest competitor, who recorded an average of 7 points. Apocalipsis is based on the texts of the Book of the Apocalypses, but with a contemporary touch.
Jesús —that is in the initial production phase— is the upcoming title in the line of Record TV´s biblical stories. Currently, the scripts are being written and the cast, locations, and costumes are being defined. The launch is estimated at the end of 2018.
