Reed Midem and ProMéxico offered details of the 2018 edition of MipCancún, that will take place from November 14 to 16 in Cancun, where over 700 guests are expected and they will seek to strengthen co-production alliances established a year ago, achieving 50-50 between co-production and distribution.
“Aside from the distribution area we have supported since the first edition, we launched something innovative last year: co-production, which we will support even more because we want it to be 50-50 in weight and size between the two. There are a lot of companies that asked us for this co-production part and we now have round tables and individual meetings with 20 and 30 minutes per session,” explained Manuel de Sousa, director of Sales for Exhibitors at Reed Midem.
Meanwhile, Robert Marking, SVP Sales & Business Development at Reed Midem, highlighted that there will be more than 200 tables and nearly 43 participating countries.
César Fragoso, Head of the Unidad de Desarrollo Sectorial de ProMéxico, highlighted the importance of creative Mexican industries within the international industry: “More than 110 thousand million people around the world watch Mexican productions and MipCancún is one of the largest creativity forums in Latin America. We will seek the participation of a big delegation of Mexican companies, with the aim to continue exporting innovation and talent”.
Ana Celia Urquidi, former TV Azteca, who offered a talk on the audiovisual industry in Mexico was present at the announcement.
