Riivi, the Chilean AVOD streaming startup, created in June 2020, is participating at Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid. Its founders, Cristobal Güel, CEO, and Ilan Oliel, CTO, are at the event representing the company.
“Riivi’s participation at Iberseries proves not only the importance and recognition of Latin content as a high-quality product but also reflects the work we do at Riivi to help local producers and positions us as a player in the industry, ever closer to our goal, which is to make accessible to all our Latin American stories and culture through the streaming display window,” said Güell.
María Ignacia Barja, Riivi’s Content Acquisition Manager, noted that they have managed to expand into territories, grow in the short term and deliver a catalog of more than 5,000 hours, “complete and diverse for our users who seek and enjoy Latin American productions.
She added that attending Iberseries not only helps Riivi to position the brand as a player in the region but also to have access to the main producers and content creators in the region and Spanish-speaking in order to learn about new productions. “But above all to acquire those contents that were relevant in different windows during the past and that today do not have screens to be exhibited or, worse, not being monetized, which is our main objective, to generate an inclusive product, where content partners obtain revenue from viewing”.
Riivi’s approach is to make relevant and display once again on the screen content that nowadays the user can’t see anywhere and bring the Latin American industry closer to the world. “Being at Iberseries is an opportunity for us to learn from others, from the big players in the industry, to be an ally of the producers, and to continue growing together with an increasingly larger catalog of 100% Latin American content. We hope that at the end of Iberseries Riivi will have programming with more titles than we have to date, closing more agreements,” Barja concluded.
