Patricio Wills, president of RTI, said that the famous 80’s CBS series Dynasty, adapted to Spanish and centered on a powerful Latin American family, could be very attractive to the U.S. Hispanic market and worldwide.“For now we have signed an option with CBS to develop a Hispanic version of the legendary series. Dynasty is essentially a story about family and power, and we think that if, adapted to Spanish and centered on a Latin American family, it could be an interesting product for Hispanics in the U.S. and around the world,” Wills told PRODU from his Miami offices. He said the team led by Hugo Léon, VP of Development of RTI, had already started work on the series. Wills said it was too early to know how many episodes it would feature, but said that currently there is high demand for super series of about 60 to 80 episodes.“We want to produce something new and different, but with the same plays on power that made Dynasty famous,” he added.Wills added that RTI is gearing up to start production of El Chivo, the new Televisa series based on the book from Nobel Prize-winning author Mario Vargas Llosa, La Fiesta del Chivo.
