María Jesús Pérez, International Sales director at RTVE, feels enthusiastic about the reception of the latest series they have produced.
It is the case of La Caza. Monteperdido. They recently closed a deal with Mediaset from Italy; there is interest in Eastern European countries, and they closed a deal with a pay-TV channel in Latin America.
“The third season of Estoy Vivo and the second of La Otra Mirada have performed very well. In the US, we closed a big package for a VOD platform. Another important agreement was in the Middle East with the telenovela Derecho a Soñar,” she highlighted.
Pérez reported that with digital platforms, they have had to restate their co-productions strategy, as was the case of the fiction Inés del Alma Mía, based on the book by Isabel Allende they are co-producing with Chilevisión and a digital platform. As for new productions, she announced they began working on the fourth season of El Ministerio del Tiempo.
In Mipcom, the company presented a selection of the best programs in different genres. One of the most outstanding products is Malaca, which tells a story of drama and suspense in Malaga, along with the daily series Mercado Central.
They are also offering TV films such as Asesinato en la Universidad and Lope Enamorado; productions for the younger audience that include: fiction, documentaries, concerts, and entertainment programs, as well as art, history, and social documentaries.
