Rubí covers the power duel between the female and the male universes, having ambition as the center of the story about a woman who uses her beauty to rise, while she uses “men as steps”. Even so, it is a story aligned with times of female empowerment, because what stands out is Rubí´s intelligence and sagacity to reach her goals, says Leonardo Padrón, writer of Rubí, after expressing that is was a challenge to tell in 25 episodes what happened in more than 100 in the original story.
He mentioned it has been interesting to make this adaptation, produced by W Studios with the support of Lemon Studios for Televisa´s Fábrica de Sueños because people expect a remake that tells them the story they already know, but with better production values and that also surprises and thrills.
As for the Juliantinas, a story that arises from two characters in Amar a Muerte, out of which they will make a film, it is in the initial process, in a phase of consultation and working on ideas, making the script and holding meetings with the parts involved, including the actresses. “The phenomenon that appeared with these characters has been very interesting. Now we are nourishing the story with different experiences, as well as choosing the topics or the big topic we are going to tell in this irreverent, unconventional love story,” he said after commenting it is a topic that continues to have enemies, in the midst of the 21st century, so it is worth it to tell these conflicts.
