Semillitas added a new show to its branded animation content: Sid the Science Kid.
Starting on April 1, Semillitas will introduce to its audience Sid, an “inquisitive youngster” who uses comedy to teach kids about basic scientific principles and why things work the way they do.
Sid answers questions and solves problems with the help of his classmates (May, Gerald, and Gabriela), Teacher Susie, and his family (his mother Alice, his father Mort, his Grandma Rose and his baby brother Zeke). The conceptual content of Sid is based in national science learning standards, cognitive learning theory, and on the preschool science curriculum, Preschool Pathways to Science.
The channel also presents a selection of widely recognized animation such as Angelina Ballerina, Firefighter Sam, Bo On the Go, Chloe’s Closet, Paddington Bear, Bob The Builder, Kit and Kate, Franny’s Feet and many others.
Semillitas main focus with this branded show is to raise preschoolers’ curiosity about the world and encourage them to find answers using hands-on activities. The channel is known for offering children a safe, violence-free, educational entertainment in neutral Spanish, supporting Latino traditions and preserving the language at this early ages, an important motivation for Latino parents.
