In the context of the MIPCancun PRODU Awards, to be held in partnership with Reed Midem on Thursday, November 19 at 6:30pm (Miami time), four important tributes will be offered to referents in the television and entertainment industry: Whit Richardson from WarnerMedia as Executive of the Year; Victoria Alonso from Marvel as Cross over; Jimmy Arteaga from WAPA as Programmer of the Year and Sonia Martínez from Atresmedia in Content Innovation.
Whit Richardson, president of WarnerMedia Entertainment Latin America, for managing to get Turner and HBO to rapidly work in a unified manner; the Argentine Victoria Alonso, Executive Production VP at Marvel Studios, who has become one of the most powerful women in Hollywood and has had an important role in Marvel’s last hits; Jimmy Arteaga, president of Programming, Production, and Promotions at WAPA TV and VP of Programming for Canal 1 in Colombia, who has maintained WAPA TV in the first place for 12 years, and for managing Canal 1 to increase its audience in the three years he has been in charge of its programming; and Sonia Martínez, Fiction Director at Atresmedia and Editorial Director of Atresmedia Studios, who will receive a tribute in Content Innovation for the big successes Atresmedia has reached in the area of fiction with innovative productions that have placed Spain on the summit of fiction worldwide.
In addition to the MIPCancun PRODU Awards, there will be a 50-hour Live Stream, celebrating Latino content, and the 2020 PRODU Awards Gala on December 2 and 3.
