Show Business reaches its 28th anniversary next November. PRODU spoke with its creator and producer, Miguel Sierralta about the plans they have for both the 24-hour channel and the program in Spain, Venezuela, and the US, to continue adding more screens.
“We kicked off with Show Business Spain hosted by Poty Castillo, which will be launched on Antena 3 Internacional on September 8. The following week it will be released across Spain on 52 stations in Grupo Cadena Media. We will reach almost 25 million homes in Spain”. It will also be available on the platform of the Show Business channel itself.
At the same time, Show Business Venezuela will be released on Venevisión in primetime on Saturdays beginning on September 24; and three weeks later it will be available on VePlus throughout America. “We call it version 2.0 because it is more like a talk show” with Wilmer Ramírez as host, and with live music, interviewees, and humor, among others.
While the USA version of Show Business with Desiree Ortiz, “which is broadcast on Mega TV, Azteca, Azteca Cable” and others, premieres its new season also in September.
These three versions of the show are on the Show Business channel and are available on Samsung Mexico, Local Now and soon on Dish. “We will show all the content that we have produced during these 28 years, plus entertainment content, concerts…”. He added that they are negotiating with ViX through their distribution company, MBA.
For Sierralta, the success of Show Business, with more than 2,600 programs produced, rests on the fact that they do not interfere with the personal lives of the artists. Another attraction is the Memoirs featuring the beginning of great personalities who have passed through as presenters or interviewees, and that always are reinventing themselves.
“Now I am in conversation with Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, and Colombia to produce Show Business with a local presenter and including interviews that are done in Miami, Spain, Venezuela, and our memoirs are one-minute capsules with amazing people who have been on the program.”
