Nathascha Rengifo has been named VP and general manager of Sony Pictures Televisions channels for OLA (Other Latin America Markets), it was announced by T.C. Schultz, EVP and managing director, Networks, Latin America and Brazil, to whom she will report.In this newly-created position to be based in Miami, Rengifo will lead the strategic management of AXN and Canal Sony across Latin America with responsibility for P&L, programming and scheduling, marketing, business development and affiliate relations. In addition, she will oversee teams in Miami, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Bogota, Colombia. In her new role, Rengifo will work closely with Jose Antonio Hidalgo, VP and general manager of SPT channels in Mexico and Alberto Niccoli, senior VP and general manager of SPT channels in Brazil. “Nathascha is a collaborative leader, out-of-the-box thinker and has an unmatched enthusiasm for our business. Her appointment completes the new structure that we began to put in place late last year to further align our channels with subscriber and advertiser expectations in our three key markets”, said Schultz. Prior to her promotion, Rengifo served as executive director of trade marketing for SPT Networks, overseeing strategic marketing for the channels across Latin America in support of ad sales and distribution. She joined the company in 2011 as director of affiliate marketing.
