Sony Pictures Television: With Shark Tank Mexico we launched this successful format in Latin America together with Claro Video

Álex Marín, executive VP of International Distribution for Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada at Sony Pictures Television, announced the launching of Shark Tank Mexico in Latin America, which is already being successfully produced in 30 countries.The program will debut June 17 at 10pm and will be aired Fridays on Sony. Soon after the launch on the cable channel, it will be aired on Claro Video. “This is the extension of this project to Latin America in our first venture with it. And we couldn´t have chosen a better platform than Claro Video as partner,” he stated. The cast is comprised by five renowned businessmen, Arturo Elías Ayub from grupo Carso; Rodrigo Herrera Aspra, from Genomma Labs; Ana Victoria García, from Victoria147, a project incubator; Carlos Bremer, owner of Value Grupo Financiero, finance company in Monterrey; and Jorge Vergara, owner of Omnilife, food products company and of the soccer team the Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara.Marín highlighted that he trusts the selection of entrepreneurs as cast of the program, because of their commitment, not only with the program, but also with the audience, the industry and the country.For his part, Andrés Vázquez del Mercado, general director of AMCO (Claro Video and Claro Música), expressed that they were interested in the project because of the social cause that accompanies it, since there is important support for entrepreneurship. “Besides, it is better to have a proven format than to try and make a new one,” he mentioned.
