Spanglish Movies, supported by its know-how regarding the universe of FAST channels, is offering to the market offering turnkey services for the assembly of FAST channels.
Gustavo Aparicio, managing director of Spanglish Movies, explained that due to all the know-how they have to build FAST channels – from a trained team in Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Colombia to, distribution, among other aspects -, they can offer the service to third parties in a cost-efficient manner. “It is a turnkey service for TV channels, integrators who take content rights and want to enter FAST. The idea is to offer it in a good, nice, and cheap way compared to putting together that team within your own company.”
For Aparicio there are two types of clients for this service: the channels that have a catalog of content that they want to take advantage of with a FAST Channel in Latin America and YouTube channels that ‘are super successful, generate money and traffic’. “But YouTube’s algorithm makes it difficult for them to access the US and high CPM because YouTube in Latin America pays a dollar and here a CPM is around US$15,” he said. He explained that this service is not for YouTube’s small creators, but for the one who has a million or two million followers, lives on that, and has a lot of content. “We can create a FAST Channel and monetize and continue to monetize on YouTube. This adds another source of income without having to produce anything extra.”
He adds that these channels would also become part of the FAST Alliance, which is free and benefits from economies of scale thanks to a coalition of many channels. In addition, as Spanglish Movies has its programmatic advertising agency, clients would also benefit from higher advertising revenue than working through the advertising inventories of Amagi or Wrl. “It’s much more cost-efficient to work with us,” he said.
These Spanglish Movies services include the creation of channels, strategy, and branding; servers, quality control, content delivery, and subtitling; platform distribution agreements; content licensing, negotiation, and acquisition; programming and schedules; creation of interstitial ads; Programmatic advertising integrations and internal staff training.
