Univision Network announced that Sprint is a key sponsor for Protagonistas, el Reality, the competition series produced by Univision Studios and Imagina US. Hosted by Mexican actor and presenter Ernesto Laguardia, the show will debut on the Univision Network on October 12 at 10pm.Protagonistas brings together two of the most proven formats amongst Hispanic consumers: novelas and reality. We know that this new entertainment property will deliver the audience and growth that our partners need to drive their business, said David Lawenda, president of Advertising Sales and Marketing, Univision Communications, Inc. The show will begin by broadcasting the 19 contestants chosen from the auditions and, from there, only six male and six female contestants will make the final cut and move into the Protagonistas house in Miami. Throughout the show, cameras will follow the contestants’ every move as they learn to live together and endure a number of challenges; from acting and dancing, to singing and hosting; with the guidance of acting coaches and an expert panel of judges. The acting coaches will use Sprint phones throughout the reality competition as a tool to train the hopeful contestants.
