Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Americas announced that it has signed a representation agreement with Sony Pictures Television (SPT) for commercial advertising sales for the company’s brands–Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel, in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
SPT will represent VIMN in these regions in addition to its own general entertainment networks, Canal Sony and AXN.
Under the terms of the agreement, SPT Ad Sales will expand the exposure of VIMN Americas’ brands, their primetime line-up and original productions, both on linear and digital platforms, to major advertising agencies and their clients.
Advertising sales for the centralized portfolio will be led by Luis Sabal, VP of Ad Sales for SPT in coordination Libya Ramírez, Head of Sales for Viacom, in those markets as of June 2019.
“Our brands are the perfect complement to the SPT portfolio. SPT’s experience is sure to add tremendous value and growth to our advertising sales efforts while we continue to build on the success of our brands in the region,” said Pierluigi Gazzolo, president of Viacom International Media Networks Americas.
“This unprecedented collaboration will offer advertisers scale across multiple demographics while leveraging our strong portfolio of leading media channel brands,” said Alexander Marín, EVP of International Networks & Distribution for Latin America and Canada for Sony Pictures Television (SPT).
