SPT: With the Televisa deal we would produce 840 hours of high quality programming

Production of Señorita Pólvora will begin in the coming days. It is the first series resulting from the production partnership between Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and Televisa.“We will co-produce 840 hours of high quality programming in the next five years. The advantage of this partnership is that both companies are sitting down together to develop content geared towards the specific audiences of the channels where it will air,” said Angélica Guerra, SVP and general manager of Production for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic of SPT.The executive announced that Señorita Pólvora will be shot entirely in Mexico with Mexican actors, and said the series had an interesting and novel story.The series will air on Televisa in Mexico, on UniMás in the U.S. Hispanic, and the SPT team will handle international sales.It was announced at the upfronts that, in addition to this production, UniMás will air two Sony series and MundoFOX will air El Mariachi. Guerra said the company just wrapped production of En La Boca Del Lobo, which se describes as an ambitious project with high production value with a complex story and a fluid narrative set in the 80’s about the fall of the Cali Cartel in Colombia.
