Superna Kalle, EVP of international Digital Networks, Starz Media, LLC., announced that StarzPlay, which arrived in Mexico and Latin America two months ago together with their partners Amazon, Izzi, Totalplay, and Apple –platforms from where the user may subscribe to the channel– are already in the entire region. To consolidate their brand presence in 2020, they will carry out a strong campaign on billboards and other exhibition spaces, mainly in Mexico. “Additionally, we are very solid in social networks, where we are also doing advertising,” said Kalle, on the occasion of a recent event with Mexican media.
The channel airs premium content focused on adults and belongs to Starz, a Lionsgate company. Friday, October 25 they will launch the series Pennyworth, based on characters from DC created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, made up of ten episodes by Warner Horizon Scripted Television and produced by Bruno Heller. It follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British soldier who is part of a security company in London in the 1960s and begins to work with the young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), who is not yet the father of Bruce Wayne.
Last September 19 they also launched the third season of Mr. Mercedes, popular suspense thriller based on the trilogy of Bill Hodges by Stephen King, that tells the story of Brady, a lunatic murderer who makes fun of a retired police detective, Hodges.
Soon they will launch StarzPlay in Brazil.
