At the recent LA Screenings on Saturday, May 18, Tomás Darcyl, Bruce Boren, and Ricardo Costianovsky spearheaded an impressive presentation by Telefilms and its production arms, Thr3 Media (Mexico) and Galeria (Brazil).
At the event, Telefilms and its production companies unveiled exclusive content to clients and press gathered at the Fairmont Century Plaza. This included never-before-seen images from their upcoming film and series slate, along with a sneak peek at the highly anticipated biographical series on Roberto Gómez Bolaños, currently in post-production, titled Sin Querer Queriendo.
“While these glimpses of our upcoming project aren’t quite finished yet,” Darcyl said, “we have a strong feeling they’ll resonate deeply with you.”
Another highlight was the epic series Those About to Die, starring Anthony Hopkins. Set in the heart of ancient Imperial Rome, this drama combines the thrills of gladiators and Olympic competition. Telefilms holds the Latin American licensing rights, while Peacock will stream the series in the US.
Bruce Boren also took the stage to announce Los Colorados, a new animated series based on the iconic character El Chapulín Colorado, produced by the Mexican animation studio Huevocartoon.
Ricardo Costianovsky, representing Galeria, presented his slate of original Brazilian films. These high-quality productions boast captivating stories with universal appeal, destined to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Capping off the presentation, Darcyl unveiled an exciting slate of 22 new Hollywood films ready for distribution across Latin America. Packed with A-list stars and high-octane action, these films promise to thrill audiences. Among the highlights are Jason Statham’s Beekeeper, along with Civil War and Inmaculada.
