Betty in NY, first fiction series produced in Telemundo Center´s modern facilities, and which recently began shooting, will be one of the network´s programming anchors for 2019.
“At Telemundo, we are super happy with all that is coming in 2019 and Betty is going to be one of those programming anchors. We have reached amazing audience levels and have been number one in primetime. Celebrating that, in 2019, there is going to be another type of programming, we will add amazing things. Betty is one of them and further on we will announce what else is coming for 2019,” commented Ronald Day, Executive VP, Entertainment at Telemundo Networks.
Day highlighted the work of Marcos Santana, President of Telemundo Global Studios, mentioning he has “meticulously chosen the best people available in the market for this huge
production”.
“It is about to be 20 years since Betty was launched for the first time and we wanted to make a version for all of us Hispanics that are in the US. We decided to do it in New York because of the idiosyncrasy that exists there. We have already been shooting in that city two weeks,” he added.
