Telemundo confirms the resignation of Adriana Ibañez from her position as executive VP of Programming

Ibañez was appointed executive VP of Programming in October of 2009

Telemundo officially announced the resignation of Adriana Ibañez from her title as executive VP of Programming. The executive is leaving for personal reasons, and will fill the position until the end of June. “We will miss her a lot. Adriana has been a fundamental member of Telemundo’s executive team, bringing in her experience and strategic thinking” said Emilio Romano, president of Telemundo Media.Ibañez was appointed executive VP of Programming in October of 2009. She was incorporated at Telemundo in 2003, during the administration of Don Browne, to take on the role of director of Programming, the same position she had at her previous company, Caracol TV. At Caracol, she was named the youngest program director of the industry. “She has formed part of the team that helped evolve the company toward a model of original content, and in her most recent role as executive VP of Programming, she drove us through a very competitive environment, supervising the strategy for the grand success of our international cable channel. We wish her the best in her future projects. I have no doubt that she’ll continue to grow in her successful television career” Romano finished.
